A New Strategy for Restraining Dynamic Strain Aging in GH4169 Alloy During Tensile Deformation at High Temperature

The dynamic strain aging (DSA) behavior was investigated in GH4169 alloy during tensile deforming with electric-pulse current (EPC) at 750 °C. results show that DSA is restrained the when deformed 40 Hz-EPC. size of γ″ phase inner grains increases obviously and δ facilitated to precipitate on grain boundary applied EPC, due promotion effect EPC diffusion segregation atoms. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) indicate dislocations can cut through small less than 10 nm, while only bypass grow up over 20 nm. growth precipitates consumes large amounts atoms as well velocity dislocation increase, which makes difficult be pinned. Therefore, a more critical pinning, significantly after necking EPC.
